Смарткільце Galaxy Ring / Samsung
January 22 marks the kickoff for the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, where alongside the Galaxy S25 series with all its enhanced AI features, we might also see the new version of the Galaxy Ring smart ring and an AR headset, known under the codename “Project Moohan”.
The new version of the Galaxy Ring, reportedly, will come in two additional sizes, bringing the total number of smart ring variants to 11. The device is also expected to provide more accurate health data thanks to upgraded sensors and improved AI functionalities. According to Samsung, these updates will give the ring a serious edge over the recently introduced Oura Ring 4.
The Galaxy Ring 2 patent, which surfaced in July, also suggested that the company would move away from the circular design, focusing instead on a square option. The device might also feature an ECG sensor, a temperature sensor, an accelerometer, a fingerprint sensor, and more.
The “Project Moohan” headset, as previously reported, will run on Android XR, will have “advanced displays,” a transparent mode, natural multimodal input, and a Qualcomm processor. It’s likely that the headset will work with Google Gemini, which will provide smarter control using voice commands.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S25, it is expected that the series will feature 12 GB of RAM in the base version and 16 GB for the Ultra version (an increase in RAM was already confirmed last month by a performance test). Industry insiders also hinted at the announcement of the Galaxy S25 Slim at this year’s Galaxy Unpacked, but recent reports have clarified that the launch might be postponed to the second quarter of 2025.
