Published by Andrii Rusanov

Samsung has officially unveiled the anticipated foldable smartphone Galaxy Fold Special Edition. However, not all markets will see it, at least for now.

Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Fold Special Edition will be available only in South Korea for pre-order starting October 25. Rumors also suggest its release in China.

The new Galaxy Fold is the thinnest and lightest smartphone in the lineup. With a thickness of 10.6 mm and a weight of 236 g, it is 1.5 mm thinner and 3 g lighter than the existing Fold6. The phone is available in black only and features a striped pattern.

The 8″ main screen with an aspect ratio of 20:18 is also the largest display in the Galaxy Fold series. The outer screen is 6.5″ with a 21:9 aspect ratio and provides a more familiar aspect ratio. The Fold 6 has a 6.3-inch display.

Despite the new slim design, for the first time in the Galaxy series, the Fold Special Edition has a 200-megapixel camera. In addition to the new main camera, the smartphone is equipped with a 12 MP telescopic lens, a 10 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 4 MP camera below the display, and a 10 MP selfie camera on the outer screen. The phone comes with 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor.

Otherwise, the new Samsung Galaxy Fold Special Edition smartphone has the same features and specifications as the Fold6. The phone costs approximately $2030.
