Steam / Valve
Valve has revealed the full schedule of Steam sales and festivals in 2025. The company has prepared 25 major events for gamers that will last about six months in total.
The first part of the sale list was announced last year, and now the schedule for the rest of the year has been revealed. Valve has announced that this fall sale will take place at «different times compared to previous fall sales». The first two sales have already ended, and the third one will end in a few days.
This year, Valve has prepared four large traditional seasonal sales for those who want to buy more games at a cheaper price. Special connoisseurs can expect a festival of visual novels, fishing, and racing (maybe you will be lucky enough to snatch a trucker simulator). Two or three sales will be held every month, where players will be able to check out demos, participate in developer broadcasts, and discuss upcoming releases on Steam.
Valve provided the schedule for the second half of 2025 in advance so that developers could prepare and fans of different categories of games could prepare their wallets. Among the interesting facts at Next Fest 2020, the number of daily additions to the wish list increased by 421%, and sales from «converted» wishlists increased by 292%. The total number of sales was overestimated during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the online service realized the trend and began to rely more on Steam sales and festivals.
