Перший погляд на другий сезон серіалу «Ван Піс» / Netflix
Netflix has announced the completion of filming the second season of One Piece and shared the first shot with the core team led by Munchkin D. Luffy.
One Piece — is a «live-action» adaptation of the 1997 Japanese manga by Eichiro Oda, which tells the story of the adventures of the fugitive pirates, the Straw Hat Gang, and their travels across the dangerous oceans.
The first season, which debuted on Netflix in August 2023, introduced Manky D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy), who has the ability to stretch his body like rubber, and his core team of bounty hunter Roronoa Zoro (McKenna), mysterious thief Nami (Emily Rudd), slingshot master Wosopp (Jacob Romero Gibson), and martial arts chef Sanji (Tez Skylarousi). All of them are shown in the first shot.
«Straw hats, our course is set! Production on the second season is officially complete and the Grand Finale is fast approaching! Fate awaits, are you ready to answer the call?”», — Netflix wrote in a post with the photo.
The photo also seems to hint that the team is in Logtown, a place that will become one of the key locations in the second season.
«The story will cover Logtown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drama Island!», — Eichiro Oda wrote earlier. «Just like last season, they [Netflix] promised that they wouldn’t release the show until I gave my approval, even though it’s not in the contract. I hope you can appreciate how amazingly and decisively they kept their word. And they have certainly proven their ability to bring this world to the screen».
Recall that earlier producers One Piece announced their hope to shoot 12 seasonsgiven the large amount of source material and the popularity of the first season on streaming. The Oda manga has more than 1080 chapters, while the first season adapted about 100 (for 8 episodes).
Other key characters will also return in the second season, including the pirate Alvida (Ilia Isorelis Paulino), the clown Bugsy (Jeff Ward), and Hal D. Roger (Michael Dorman). Among the newcomers to the cast: Charitra Chandra (Miss Venzday), Joe Manganiello (Mr. 0), Kathy Sagal (Dr. Kureha), Lera Abowa (Miss Ol’ Sunday), Mark Harelick (Dr. Hiruruk), Sandhil Ramamurthy (Nefertari Cobra) and others.
The second season of One Piece has no official release date yet. Netflix has not included the series in this year’s schedule, so it is likely to premiere in 2026.
