Sony reveals the only «exclusive» at State of Play — Saros action game will tell about mysterious eclipses and monster invasions

The story takes place in a decaying colony on the planet Karkosa with the main character Arjun Devraj. The planet is haunted by an ominous eclipse that repeatedly turns her into enemy. Each death of Arjun changes the world and in order to «come back stronger» you need to constantly improve your weapons and costumes

Unlike Returnal, Saros will not be a rogue-like game. It will retain dynamic combat, and the progress will be constant and more long-term. Still, you might think that the description resembles rogue-like.

The role of the protagonist is played by actor Rahul Kohli, who has already tried his hand at gamemaking in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (Ruper Capor), Rage 2 (Garcia), and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun (Malum Kaedo). The game promises an emotionally rich story and a strong cast. Housemarque promises to reveal more details about the gameplay and plot by the end of the year. The release is scheduled for 2026.
