The new Garmin Instinct 3 Solar smartwatch has an unpleasant defect that doesn’t interfere with its operation, but can ruin the mood of perfectionists.
Reddit users report about the unpleasant Garmin watch defect — a distorted image on a smaller circular area, as in the photo. It is preliminarily known that most Instinct 3 Solar watches are affected.
The relatively affordable Garmin Instinct model offers an original screen design with a larger area and a smaller one in the upper-right corner. For example, the main part of the screen can display text, and the smaller one can display a symbol at the same time. The small circle on some watches seems to be stretched to the lower right.
The defect is not immediately noticeable and does not interfere with the use of the gadget, but it is extremely unpleasant for people who like a neat design. The degree of distortion varies from watch to watch, with many having no distortion at all. One report said that 4 out of 6 smartwatches in the assortment of a retail store were affected.
According to unverified information from a user, Garmin has acknowledged the defect in some cases, but the company is unable to offer a solution at this time. However Garmin Instinct 3 Solar watch is new and many owners who have just purchased them may ask for a refund.
