The Future Games Show showcased a shooter from the creators of Alan Wake, an American Zelda, and a 1984-style horror

On March 20, the 12th presentation of games at Future Games Show 2025: Spring Showcase. It featured games from well-known developers and newcomers.

This time, the show was held as part of the GDC (Game Developers Conference), which included exclusive trailers, interviews with developers, and announcements of new games. You can watch the full three-hour episode on YouTube. But if you don’t have such a desire, we have collected interesting projects that we showed to the players.

  • FBC: Firebreak (Remedy, creators of Alan Wake and Control) — a first-person cooperative shooter set in Control game universe. Players complete missions at the headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, known as «Old House» or «Place of Power». Players take on the role of a member of the Firebreak team, which fights enemies infected with «Hiss»

  • Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (Sandfall Interactive) — is a turn-based role-playing game that takes players into a dark fantasy world inspired by the Belle Époque» of FranceThis is the period from 1871 to 1914 in France, when culture, art, science and economy flourished, creating an atmosphere of optimism and innovation. This time is remembered for the appearance of the Eiffel Tower and the development of cinema. The heroes join an expedition to stop the «Artist». The Antagonist — a being with divine powers who draws a number on his monolith every year, and all people of that age die

  • Bionic Bay (Psychoflow Studio and Mureena Oy) — 2D platformer with mechanics that allow players to change the gravity and positions of objects. In the story, a scientist has created a teleportation device to escape from a dangerous ancient biomechanical world. Everything around is filled with mysterious technologies, deadly traps, and hidden secrets.

  • Cloudheim (Noodle Cat Games) — a cooperative role-playing game about the world after Ragnarok (apocalypse), which looks like Zelda. Players explore a variety of islands and mysterious dungeons, controlling a base on the shell of an ancient flying turtle — Odin Shell. It has an interesting combat system — it allows you to «juggle enemies».

  • Kingmakers (Developed by Redemption Road Games and published by tinyBuild of Hello Neighbor fame) is an action strategy game with shooter elements that takes players to medieval England, where they have to change the course of history with the help of modern technology. Every building can be destroyed, from taverns to castles. The game will appeal to those who want to travel back to the Middle Ages and kill knights with their AK-47.

  • Karma: The Dark World (Pollard Studio) — a first-person cinematic psychological thriller with horror elements. The plot revolves around East Germany in 1984, where the Leviathan Corporation controls society through mass surveillance, social rules, and mind-altering drugs. The game offers an immersion into the memories of suspects of agent Daniel McGovern, where reality and surrealism intertwine.

  • Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree (Primal Game Studio) — is a 2.5D action-RPG that combines elements of Metroidvania and souls-like. The story takes players to a dark fantasy world where humanity has given way to monsters and the world has plunged into chaos. Players receive the legendary «Witch’s Lantern», which allows them to penetrate another dimension — Entropy, where reality is collapsing.

  • System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster (Nightdive Studios) is an updated 4K version of the 1999 cult game about the sci-fi horror world. Heroes face supernatural threats aboard the starship Von Braun. In this action-RPG with horror elements, players face off against SHODAN, an AI with a god complex who has created an army of ruthless mutants

  • Permafrost (SpaceRocket Games and published by Toplitz Productions) is a cooperative game for up to 4 players set in a world with eternal winter after an apocalyptic catastrophe in 2035. Players explore the frozen world, collect resources, build bases, and more.

  • Bandit Trap (PICOMY) — is a multiplayer game that offers a fun and chaotic experience. Players can choose the role of a defender or a robber. Villains have to break into a house, find 10 treasures and escape while avoiding traps, and guards have to resist them. In the game, you can break through walls, flood rooms, etc.
