Not only «The Simpsons» predicts the future. A 2006 episode of the Marvel animated series predicted the role of Robert Downey Jr. after Iron Man as accurately as possible.
The image from the TV series «Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes» A car driver asks a passenger in the back seat: «Hey, are you that guy, Iron Man, or not?». The passenger replies: he speaks before Doom answers: «Why, yes, I am». This passenger was Dr. Doom in his green suit and mask.

The death of Tony Stark, Iron Man, played by the charismatic Robert Downey Jr. in the 2019 movie «The Avengers: Endgame» upset fans of the superhero franchise. Probably, Marvel and Disney also regretted the end of the popular character’s story and the departure of a popular actor from the franchise, possibly the largest fee in history.
Last year Marvel announced the creation of two new films «Avengers» by the Russo brothers, in which Downey Jr. returns, but as Dr. Doom. The movie «Avengers: Doomsday» (formerly known as «Avengers: Kang’s Dynasty») will be released in theaters on May 1, 2026 year, and «Avengers: Secret Wars» will be available on May 7, 2027.
