The price of the newest Toyota Camry 2025 sedan in the United States starts at $29.5 thousand.

The 2025 Toyota Camry has been launched in the United States, offering most of the technical advantages and features that have helped it become the best-selling sedan in the last 22 years, but with one important difference — there is no longer a gasoline-only version.

The new Camry, which will be available at authorized dealers this spring, ditches the good old V6 in favor of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (instead of the 2.0 in the new Prius) to complement the electric motor. Thanks to the hybrid system, the base model will be able to travel 51 miles per gallon of gasoline (82 km on 3.8 liters) — 1 mile (1.6 km) less than the current generation of the hybrid Camry, but significantly more than the gasoline-only version (32 miles per gallon).

Prices for different versions of the 2025 Toyota Camry in the US

The starting price of the 2025 Camry is $28,400, which is $1,980 more expensive than the current gasoline base model, but about $400 cheaper than the current hybrid Camry offered as an option. The price of the top version of the Toyota Camry 2025 SE AWD with the Premium Plus package and two-tone color is $42,220. For comparison, the 2024 Honda Accord hybrid costs $33,990 in the basic configuration, and the 2024 Hyundai Sonata costs $31,950. So the new Camry looks quite competitive. The new model has an updated design and retains the characteristic huge grille, which is essential.

It’s a shame, but it’s still a conventional HEV hybrid, not a full-fledged plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with the ability to recharge the battery and travel short distances on electric power alone.

Despite the general trend of declining demand for passenger cars with internal combustion engines in the world in general and in the United States in particular, where compact crossovers, SUVs and pickups are in fashion, Toyota sedans (full-size Camry and compact Corolla) are still in the top. In 2023, the Camry became the second most popular Toyota in the United States with sales of 290,649 units (the first was the RAV4), of which only 35,445 were hybrids. Overall, hybrids accounted for 29% of Toyota’s total U.S. sales in 2023.
