Currently, vivo is working on a new S20 smartphone. The S series is located in the company’s portfolio right after the flagship X family, so this will be an important and interesting release.
The vivo S20 smartphone will have a thickness of 7.19 mm, but even so, it will have a powerful 6500 mAh battery. The phone weighs 185.5 g. So it’s both thinner and lighter than the S19 and has a 500 mAh larger battery. This is undoubtedly an engineering achievement.
The vivo S20 also has a 6.67-inch AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 2800×1260 pixels and a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. The device will be available with 8, 12, or 16 GB of RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of internal storage. Engineers have also placed a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel secondary rear camera, and a 50-megapixel selfie camera in the smartphone.
Compared to the S19, the S20 has a slightly smaller screen and the already mentioned larger battery and smaller dimensions. Everything else seems identical. Given that the S series is updated twice a year, and the previous S19 was introduced in May, not many changes were prepared for this iteration.
