The shortage continues: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti sold out on launch day

Published by Andrii Rusanov

Predictably, the shortage of NVIDIA RTX 50 graphics cards has also affected the RTX 5070 Ti. A major British retailer reported running out of stock on the first day of sales.

Overclokers UK (OCUK), a large marketplace in the UK, regularly reports updates to the X graphics card range. According to the latest reports, all RTX 5070 Ti variants have sold out and are expected to be restocked within two to six weeks. Other Blackwell graphics cards are also impossible to find.

Several MSRP (suggested retail price) models flew off the shelves instantly after the embargo was lifted on February 20. Other graphics cards that cost more than $900 were soon sold out, probably by speculators. The supply of RTX 5070 Ti is still better than the older Blackwell. Pre-orders are still in effect, and potential customers have been warned about long waiting times. But a small number of RTX 5080s have started to go on sale every week.

The RTX 5070 Ti outperforms the RTX 4070 T in 4K gaming by about 25% and is actually RTX 4080 analog with DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation. It also outperforms the RTX 3070 Ti by more than 60%.

The leak claims that NVIDIA repurposes GB200 wafers for data center chips to RTX 5090. This move is expected to improve their availability in about a month. But as you can see from the UK store’s post, it expects them in only 14 weeks.
