A completely redesigned version of Magic Mouse will appear in 2026, according to a Korean insider. The new version of the mouse will include touch control and support voice commands.
The new design of Magic Mouse will be more ergonomic and will solve long-standing user issues, including the inconvenient location of the charging port. Although the Magic Mouse’s charging port was updated from Lightning to USB-C a few months ago, its location on the bottom of the device remained unchanged. This makes it impossible to use the mouse while it is charging. Although charging the mouse is rarely necessary and takes little time, users have long criticized this design. In the new version, the port will be moved to a different, more convenient location.
Apple has also created a prototype Magic Mouse that supports touch control, voice commands, and hand gestures. This will make the device more adapted to modern requirements, especially for working with the latest Mac computers.
The new Magic Mouse is expected to debut with the M6 chip-based MacBook Pro in 2026.
