There have been cases in history when a successful studio made only one series of games, but the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 are thinking about something else.
At the «Exporters Summit 2025», organized by Forbes Ukraine, COO and creative director of GSC Game World, Maria Grigorovich, spoke about some of the studio’s intentions without going into details.
«After the success, we now have a lot of opportunities to do more. Perhaps it will be not only S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but something more».
She clarifies that it is primarily about add-ons to the game and possible expansion of the franchise to other formats. Maria Hryhorovych also noted the role of games for demonstrations of Ukrainian culture in the world.
In early March, the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl told about increasing the number of players to 6 million. The statement comes on the heels of earlier reports of 90% drop in online presence in the game within three months after the release. New content could fuel the interest in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and the developers have already told us something about it. They say that the upcoming DLC will surprise players and offer an unexpected perspective to the world of the Zone.
