If you were planning to snag a GeForce RTX 4090 on the cheap just before the RTX 5090 drops, that’s probably not happening.
As reported by wccftech, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics accelerator is currently in short supply—some major retailers have already pulled it from their shelves due to production stoppage, while scarce models on international platforms like Amazon are being listed at insane prices ranging from $2500 to $3500.
For comparison: two years ago at its launch, the RTX 4090 was priced at $1600.
B&H Photo and BestBuy are the only places listing all the GeForce RTX 4090 models, but they’re marked as sold out or discontinued.
In Europe, the situation is slightly better, but prices are reaching 2200 euros, whereas just a week ago they were 200-300 euros lower.
