Xiaomi has reached a new production milestone by producing 100 thousand SU7 cars at its factory in Beijing ahead of schedule. The company also announced that all these cars have already been delivered to customers.
This is another milestone in 2024 that Xiaomi has reached ahead of schedule. And now the new automaker is adjusting its target for 2024 to 130 thousand deliveries. Currently, the maximum production capacity of the Xiaomi car plant is about 24 thousand units per month. Initially, it was planned that the first phase of the factory complex would produce half of this volume.
It is worth noting that the company is currently building a new section of the plant, which should allow it to cope with the increased demand. However, its launch will take time.
The reassessment of production targets comes as no surprise. The Xiaomi SU7 electric car proved popular from the start, and earlier this year the company had already adjusted its 2024 target to 120 thousand vehicles. It seems that everything went even better than expected, so Xiaomi added another 10 thousand units to its production plan.
