Tides of Annihilation / Eclipse Glow Games
Mystical forces in the Elden Ring style attack London, and only Gwendolen is able to «pile» monsters as tall as a skyscraper. In fact, Tides of Annihilation is inspired by the Arthurian myths.
At State of Play 2025, Eclipse Glow Games showed the debut trailer of a single-player adventure game that resembles FromSoftware’s creations in some ways and not in others. The authors promise «intense, stunning battles, a fascinating narrative, and an unforgettable environment».
The story takes place in modern London, which is being ravaged by mystical monsters. The player character, a girl named Gwendolyn, explores the iconic sights of the British capital and challenges the ghostly knights of the Round Table. The bosses are really very huge, but it is not entirely clear from the trailer whether it is possible to fight such giants.
«Tides of Annihilation’s debut at Sony State of Play — is an incredible and difficult achievement for the Eclipse Glow development team. But it’s only the beginning. We’ve created a world that reimagines the Arthurian legend, where themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism are intertwined with an epic story set in a strange yet familiar terrain that will test the courage of true gamers and push the genre forward,» says the game’s lead producer.
Tides of Annihilation will be released on a PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, no release date has been announced yet Chinese studio Eclipse Glow Games is backed by investments from Tencent and has a staff of more than 100 developers with experience in creating games for franchises including Yakuza, For Honor, Assassin’s Creed, Persona, and Prince of Persia.
