The first trailer for the spy thriller «Amateur» starring Rami Malek has been released. The film will be released in spring 2025.
The film, directed by James Gose, tells the story of CIA cryptographer Charlie Heller, whose life changes dramatically after his wife’s death at the hands of terrorists. After his superiors refuse to investigate the case, the protagonist blackmails his superiors to get trained as a field agent and take revenge on those responsible.
The movie also stars Laurence Fishburne («The Matrix», «John Wick 4»), Caitriona Balfe («Outlander»), Gault McKeleny («Mindhunter», «Fight Club») and Rachel Brosnahan («The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel», «House of Cards»).
«After playing the antagonist in 007: No Time to Die, I was looking for a character who is underestimated. Someone invisible but capable of extraordinary deeds. Charlie — an ordinary man who discovers new possibilities through grief», — tells us Malek.
