Trailer for Subnautica 2 — Underwater Survivor to be released in early access on Game Pass in 2025

During the Xbox Partner Showcase, the developers presented a cinematic teaser trailer for Subnautica 2. The video shows underwater research that is suddenly interrupted by the appearance of a giant squid.

Unknown Worlds Entertainment has announced plans to release the game in early access. In the new part of the franchise, players will go beyond Planet 4546B for the first time. The creators promise new locations, interesting creatures, and puzzles to explore. Despite the familiar elements, Subnautica 2 will offer a unique gaming experience.

The game’s availability in Xbox Game Preview and Game Pass from day one will allow developers to get valuable feedback. This approach has already helped shape the previous installments in the series — Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero.

• The Subnautica series has gained wide popularity among gamers due to its unique combination of survival, exploration, and underwater adventures. The first game, released in 2018, immersed players in the mysterious oceanic world of the planet 4546B, where they had to fight for survival after a spacecraft crash landing.
• Subnautica: Below Zero, released in 2021, continued the story on the same planet, but in its polar region. This part expanded the game universe by adding new biomes, creatures, and plot elements.
