Following the original, the official Ukrainian trailer for the film «In The Lost Lands» starring Milla Jovovich and Dave Batista has been released.
«In the Lost Lands» is an adaptation of the story of the same name by «Game of Thrones» creator George Martin about a powerful witch Grey Alice (Jovovich) who travels through the Lost Lands in search of a fantastic power that can turn a person into a werewolf, in the company of a mysterious guide, Boise (Batista).
The rest of the cast includes Arlie Hover, Amara Okereke, Fraser James, Simon Lef and Deirdre Mullins. The film was directed by Jovovich’s husband Paul W. S. Anderson and produced by his «Resident Evil» colleague Jeremy Bolt.
The author of the idea is — Konstantin Werner, who acquired the rights to adapt Martin’s short stories back in 2015. The writer himself has already watched the film, which he described as «incredibly dark, atmospheric and spiced with humor», as well as hinted that he wouldn’t mind writing a sequel to the story of Alice.
«A long time ago, I had hoped to write a series of stories about Gray Alice… but life and other stories intervened, and for some reason I never got around to writing this second tale. But who knows? If the movie is good enough, maybe I’ll finally write a sequel. In my free time».
The release states that the film was created in cooperation between the United States, Canada and Germany, while the filming took place in Poland.
«In the Lost Lands» will debut in Ukrainian cinemas on March 13.
