Ukrainians are less likely to buy used cars from abroad: which models are most popular

In October, the Ukrainian car fleet was replenished with 16.3 thousand used cars imported from abroad.

It is worth noting that this is the lowest monthly number of registrations of imported used cars this year. Compared to October 2023, registrations of used cars from abroad fell by 23%. Compared to September 2024, the figure decreased by 4%.

Most often, used cars with gasoline engines are imported from abroad. They account for 46% of the total. In general, the distribution of the popularity of power plants in this segment is as follows:

• gasoline – 46%;
• diesel – 26%;
• electric vehicles – 20%;
• hybrids – 4%;
• cars with LPG – 4%.

The average age of used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates in October is 9.5 years.

Volkswagen Golf remains the leader of registrations among imported second-hand cars.

7. AUDI Q5 – 374 units;
8. AUDI A4 – 323 units;
9. VOLKSWAGEN Touran – 305 units;
10. TESLA Model Y – 299 units.

Since the beginning of the year, almost 192.3 thousand used cars have been registered for the first time in Ukraine, which is 14% more than in the same period in 2023.
