Witcher in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2? Gamers say they found Geralt of Rivia in the game

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is full of Easter eggs — now players believe they have found the Witcher.

It all started with a post on Reddit where one user shared a screenshot: Henry receiving a whipping. In the window behind him, a man in armor can be seen, suspiciously resembling Geralt. The image quality leaves much to be desired, but gamers immediately noticed two important details: a distinctive silhouette and two blurry stripes on his back that could be swords.

If this is indeed a two-edged sword, then he is clearly not a local from Bohemia. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, all the characters wear weapons on their belts and swords behind their backs — this is the style of the Witchers. That is why fans quickly started building theories:

«Given that Witcher happens in 1273ish, its possible that Geralt lurks in those parts», — writes one commentator.

Although fans say that the Witcher could have ended up in Bohemia during his travels, this is highly unlikely. The world of KCD2 doesn’t have elves, sphere connections, monsters, and other trappings of The Witcher series, but Geralt’s cameo is a classic homage to the cult franchise.

For example, in the first part, players found references to the Witcher, namely the perk (bonus) «Witcher», as well as the horse Gossip. There is no official confirmation whether this is really Geralt of Rivia or just a random NPC with two swords behind his back, but there is a possibility.

Similar Easter eggs in KCD2 are not «one-time» events. For example, in the game you can find the legend of Elden Ring Let Me Solo Her. The creators also created an NPC who jokes about «arrow in the knee» — an iconic phrase from Skyrim. Or in one of the city zones, there is a character who mentions the «city of the future with neon lights», which obviously resembles Night City from Cyberpunk 2077. In addition, players found UFO wreckage, small dinosaurs in a cave, a monk saying the famous line from Assassin’s Creed, and much more.

Also, recently, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has recently received huge patch 1.2, which added support for mods, a hairdresser and 1000+ fixes. Play boldly can be called a hit and due to its scale and speed of passage in almost only 11% of gamers have completed KCD2 in a month after the release. At the start of the game, the peak online on Steam exceeded 250 thousand.
