The most interesting new series of April 2025

In April, Dante from the Devil May Cry game will take on the old-school Papa Roach to deal with the demon breed. Newly minted demon hunter Kevin Bacon will follow suit. Meanwhile, the seemingly presentable John Hamm, despite his high social status, will resort to robbing neighboring houses, and Sherlock Holmes will learn about the existence of his daughter. The aliens will be met in Poland and Argentina. But all of this looks like a light appetizer before the main course — the long-awaited sequels to The Last of Us and Andor, which logically promise to be the most high-profile premieres of the month.

Also in April, there is a reason to rejoice for all those who admired «Andor» — the successful prequel to the blockbuster «Rogue One» (2016) from the «Star Wars» universe. The official synopsis looks like this: «In the second season, the characters’ relationships become more intense as the horizon of war approaches and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance. Everyone will be put to the test, and as the stakes rise, betrayal, sacrifice and contradictory plans will become unimaginable».

According to one of the project’s creators, Tony Gilroy, the final episodes will precede the events of «Rogue One» by a minimum distance.
