Ever since I started attending electronics shows regularly, Lenovo has been on my personal list of the boldest manufacturers of laptops and related devices. In a device category dominated by dull black and gray boxes, you have to try hard to find things that really stand out. At the last CES 2025, the manufacturer did not disappoint, and there was something to see again. Moreover, unlike previous releases, almost all devices are real, i.e. they are not at the level of concepts that will soon appear on the market.

Lenovo Legion Go S — the first non-Steam console on the market on SteamOS

Without exaggeration, one of the coolest gaming gadgets at CES in general. The only downside of the device is that it will be available no earlier than June 2025.
Lenovo is positioning the Go S console as a «junior» version of the Go, but this is only to its advantage, in my opinion. First of all, due to the reduced price, it is cheaper not only than the older version but also than a similarly equipped Windows console. The base model of the device with the Z1 Extreme processor will be sold from $500, while the version with the Z2 Go will cost a potential buyer $100 more.
Compared to the older model, the console is not only more compact, but also has a more curved shape, which, in my opinion, makes it more comfortable to hold. Under the hood, SteamOS – that is, no Windows 11 not adapted for consoles – finally offers easy navigation, switching between games, and intuitive access to system settings. I hadn’t tested Steam Deck before, but only when I picked up Legion Go S did I realize that this is exactly what a real console should be like.
As for the technical specifications, the console has an 8-inch touchscreen display with an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz, an AMD Z2 Go or AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, up to 32 GB of RAM, and a 55.5 Wh battery.
Lenovo also showed a new version of Lenovo Legion Glasses 2, which adds a virtual screen effect to the console.
ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable — a laptop with a rolling screen

Everyone has already written about this laptop, but I’ll write again. At CES, Lenovo showed the world’s first laptop with a screen that expands. With the press of a button, the screen magically increases in size from 14 to 16.7 inches. At the same time, I didn’t notice any obvious traces of film or bends on the screen, as, for example, in Samsung’s Z Fold smartphones.
At first glance, the tall screen looks a bit strange, but it can also have practical value. For example, you can expand a document on such a tall screen if you need to see and edit its contents in its entirety without switching between pages. Or you can divide the space into two parts, for example, with a browser on top and messengers, mail, or a window for editing a document or table at the bottom. Theoretically, this can be convenient for developers as well.
The company promises that the screen resource will last for 20,000 deployment cycles. Before the device is released, it is difficult to estimate whether this is a lot or a little — it depends on how often users will use the feature.
As for the technical specifications, the laptop has the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of SSD. It has two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the sides and Wi-Fi 7. We expect this model to be available in Ukraine in March.
Yoga Book 9i — a laptop with two screens

This year, among other new products, Lenovo brought to CES the third generation of the Yoga Book 9i dual-screen laptop. Imagine a laptop that has a screen instead of a keyboard. Now imagine that you can display a touch keyboard, a drawing board, additional windows with programs, and much more on this screen.
Unlike previous versions, the virtual keyboard that can be displayed on an additional screen is really convenient for the first time. I tried typing on it, and I won’t lie that it’s more comfortable than my mechanical Keychron, but it turned out to be quite acceptable. For such a keyboard, you can customize the vibration response and keystroke sounds, which makes the typing experience similar to what we get when using conventional keyboards.
But I preferred the laptop use case, as shown in the photo: when you have two 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED displays stacked one above the other, and you type through a detachable Bluetooth keyboard. Simply put, you get a compact dual-monitor device that can be used for traveling, going to the office, working from home, and more.
When folded, the laptop looks a little thicker than we’re used to seeing in 2025, but not bulky. In my opinion, the weight added by the second screen is not critical, it is still convenient to take it with one hand and is unlikely to pull the back in a backpack, even for girls. The laptop is expected to go on sale in the summer, with prices starting at $2099 in the US market.
Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition — laptop with in-screen camera

And here’s another Yoga, only this time it’s the Slim 9i. There are some surprises here too – this is the first laptop from the company or even on the market with an in-screen camera. Previously, we saw this solution in expensive Android smartphones, and now it has migrated to laptops.
In fact, the camera is located under the visible pixels of the screen. It’s disguised really well, I couldn’t see it no matter how closely I looked. I can’t say that as a camera, it demonstrates wow performance, it’s just a good laptop camera, without any bright pros or cons. It seems that if it were a regular camera, its quality could be better, but it’s either checkers or go — beauty or functionality. The camera does not increase the display bezel area, does not take up screen space. Without it, the laptop looks really more stylish.
The screen itself is a 14-inch OLED panel with a 4K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, there’s a processor up to Intel Core Ultra 7, and the claimed battery life is up to 17 hours without recharging.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i will go on sale starting at $1849, with a release scheduled for February this year. In Ukraine, the model will go on sale in April.

ThinkCentre neo 50q QC — mini PC for business on Snapdragon

The list ends with a device that no one expected at CES and which pleasantly surprised me. The ThinkCentre neo 50q QC is a compact desktop computer powered by Snapdragon. The main focus is on users who need a productive workstation «machine» in a compact package.
The PC is really tiny on the outside, with a case volume of only one liter, comparable in size to the node of my mesh system. Inside it is a Snapdragon X/Snapdragon X Plus capable of performing AI calculations at speeds up to 45 TOPS. The graphics are handled by a Qualcomm Adreno video chip, but in my opinion, there could be a little more RAM — 16 GB is already the minimum amount for 2025. Data is stored on two SSDs of 1 TB each.
Our baby has a full set of ports on board — on the front panel there is one USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port and a combined audio output. On the back there are two more USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a and an RJ-45 network connector. There is also support for Wi-Fi 6E.
The ThinkCentre neo 50q QC is made of 60% recycled plastic. The device will go on sale in February 2025 and will cost from $849 in the United States.
