Honor has released a new smartphone, the Honor X9c, which is touted as the most rugged phone in the brand’s history.
The novelty can withstand a fall from a height of up to 2 meters and is ranked first in the SGS Comprehensive Reliability rating. The exterior is scratch-resistant and has been tested by rubbing it with steel wool 3000 times. The phone can operate in extreme temperatures from -30 °C to 55 °C. It also has an IP65M rating, where «M» means 360° protection against water jets. Although Honor has some models with IP69 ratings, it’s the combination of all these features that makes the X9c the most rugged of them all.

The rear panel has a dual camera setup. It includes a main 108-megapixel 1/1.67-inch sensor with OIS and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. The camera supports 3x magnification without degradation of quality and 4K video recording. The front-facing 16-megapixel camera records 1080p video.
Honor X9c has a 6600 mAh battery that provides up to 26 hours of online video playback. It supports 66W fast charging. The device also has Wi-Fi 5 (ac), Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC communication modules, stereo speakers with a marketing volume of 300%, but no 3.5mm headphone jack. The new device runs on MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14.
