The long-awaited 5th season of the Netflix series Stranger Things — was leaked to the network by hackers «leaked» a huge amount of information.
On February 22, unknown persons hacked into the streaming service’s database, which led to the leak of spoilers, release dates, and other important details. The platform quickly started deleting social media posts and videos, but fans are actively discussing rumors and spreading their own theories. The leak contains more than 400 separate assets and 90 pages of confidential documents.
This is the second time Netflix has faced such cybersecurity issues. In particular, several episodes of Season 2 of Arcane, Season 3 of Heartstopper and several other shows suffered from a major data leak.
So, according to rumors, the series is to be released at the end of 2025, and the season will be divided into two parts, like the previous 4th season. The first one is likely to debut in October 2025, while the second one — in November. As a reminder, the first part of the 4th season was released at the end of May 2022 year, and the second in July.
Earlier, Netflix confirmed eight episodes and theories were spread about the name of one of them:

No direct spoilers are shared by the media, as Netflix is legally hostile to the dissemination of such leaks. In addition, the actors and crew spent a whole year filming and shot 650 hours of material for eight large-scale episodes. This is without taking into account the work of the post-production team, marketing, and other departments.
Previously, we have released first footage of season 5 «Stranger Things» after the teaser announcing the premiere. The photos do not reveal any plot details, but allow us to see the familiar cast. The main characters appeared in the photos: Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Nancy, Steve, Jonathan, as well as Hopper and Joyce.
