
Metro 2033 Redux can be picked up for free to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the series, but there are only about 30 hours left for this.
4A Games has decided to give away the remaster of Metro 2033, which was released in 2014 and became a cult post-apocalyptic shooter. У Steam, GOG and Xbox temporarily set instead of the price — «$0». You can pick up Metro 2033 only from April 14 to 16.
The remaster was released as an updated version of the shooter based on the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky. It has completely redesigned the visuals, added new animations, improved enemy AI, and optimized gameplay. The game retained the atmosphere of the 2010 original, but became much more convenient for beginners.
The giveaway is dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Metro series. Even though the anniversary was back in March, the publishers decided to give everyone a chance to catch up with the franchise. On Steam, the version supports achievements and cloud saves, and on GOG — it works without DRM. A free copy is also available on Xbox.
In addition to Metro 2033 Redux, the following titles are also on sale at discounted prices Metro: Last Light (₴75/-85%) and Metro Exodus (199₴/-75%). Also, Metro Exodus — Gold Edition temporarily costs ₴266 (-75%). It’s a good opportunity to get the whole collection together. Meanwhile, 4A Games announced that is working on a new Metro. So far, there are no details about the plot or characters, but the game will be a direct sequel to Exodus. The team that created Metro 2033, Last Light, and Exodus joined the development. Also, Reburn, whose developers formerly worked on Metro, are working on a new La Quimera. A shooter with a sci-fi atmosphere and Latin American mysticism received a release date of April 25 and will cost $29.99.
