Following the the first shot with Matt Damon in the role of Odysseus, backstage shots have been released, where you can see another key character in Christopher Nolan’s new film — Telemachus played by Tom Holland (who, however, looks more like Frodo Baggins).

In Homer’s original work, Telemachus is the son of Odysseus who sets out on a journey to find his father, who went missing after the Trojan War.

In addition to Damon and Holland, the cast of «Odyssey» includes Benny Safdie, Himesh Patel, Elliot Page, Will Yun Lee, Lupita Nyong’o, Jon Bernthal, Mia Gott, Samantha Morton, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, as well as Charlize Theron and Anne Hathaway (one of them is likely to play Odysseus’ wife Penelope). According to rumors, the film will also feature star «Shogun» Cosmo Jarvis.
In addition to Holland and Nolan, you can see the scenery, which, like the previous shot of Damon, has already caused controversy on the Internet regarding historical inaccuracies — this time, the claims were directed at a ship that allegedly belongs to the Viking times, and not to ancient Greece.

Recall that «Odyssey» should be the most expensive movie in Nolan’s career — with a budget of $250 million. Filming will continue until the end of April in Greece, Morocco and Italy, with the premiere scheduled for July 17, 2026.
It should be noted that Homer’s epic poem has been adapted for the screen many times: in 1954, the film «Ulysses» starring Kirk Douglas was released; «Odyssey» also inspired the Coen brothers’ film «Oh, Where Art Thou, Brother?» (2000); similarly, the story of the Trojan War appeared on the screens in the movie «Troy» (2004), where Brad Pitt played Achilles and Sean Bean — Odysseus (by the way, Nolan was among the candidates for the director’s chair).
