Pornhub’s year in review: Ukraine is in the top 15 in terms of views, Android «dominates iOS, and PS5 garnered 60% of traffic from consoles

Traditionally, at the end of the year, various services and platforms wrap up with their year-end summaries — Pornhub is no exception, having recently published its own usage statistics.

We’re first and foremost interested in the devices and operating systems that Pornhub users most actively used in 2024.

Countries with the highest traffic and time spent on the site

The undisputed leader in Pornhub usage was the USA (not surprising, considering the country has over 300 million people), followed by France and the Philippines.

Users from Mexico spent the most time visiting Pornhub — on average 11 minutes and 1 second; whereas women stayed on the site per visit for 17 seconds longer compared to men.

Ukraine — ninth in the list for average time spent on the site, with 9 minutes and 25 seconds (15 seconds less than the average for countries).

In 2024, the number of women on the site increased by 7% to 38%, and the average age of visitors was 38 years (+1 year compared to 2023). The most traffic (27% of the total) was brought by the age group 18-24 years.

Devices and technologies

In 2024, smartphones accounted for 90.5% of global traffic, PCs — 7.9% of traffic, and tablets — 1.6%.

Apple’s iOS-based devices, including iPhone and iPad, accounted for 34.7% of mobile traffic, while Android — 65.2% (+24% from last year).

Windows this year accounted for 71.7% of all PC traffic (up +14% more than in 2023), while Apple’s operating system for PCs had a share of 20.3% (a drop of 26% from last year).

Linux saw a 41% increase and received 5.1% of traffic, and Chrome OS — 0.4%.

As for mobile browsers, Chrome was the undisputed leader with 64.7% of traffic, in Safari — 26.2%. Following are Samsung (4.2%), Opera (1.2%), and Firefox (0.7%).

Xbox had only 4.9% of the gaming console traffic — last year, for comparison, 16.7%.

Movies and characters

This year, Harley Quinn led among characters and movies, partly thanks to the release of the new Joker movie, pushing Star Wars from first to second place. Game of Thrones, Avatar, Harry Potter, and Wonder Woman remained in the same positions as 2023.

Interestingly: Deadpool surpassed Wolverine this year, and Star Trek made its first appearance on the list.
