GSC Game World currently has no plans to release a version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 for PlayStation 5. About reported CEO of the studio Yevhen Hryhorovych in an interview with Tech4Gamers.
«We are fully focused on the development and support of PC and Xbox Series X/S versions,» said Evgeniy Grigorievich in the interview.
The CEO also refused to comment on rumors about the game’s three-month exclusivity for Xbox. «We do not comment on leaks, rumors, or speculation. Again, I emphasize that the PC and Xbox Series X/S versions are the only ones we have developed and support,» he added.
This confirms that GSC is not developing a version for the PlayStation 5. However, the company may reconsider its decision in the future.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has achieved significant success since its release. The game recouped development costs in less than a month, and sold out within the first 48 hours more than a million copies. The project is also available on Xbox Game Pass.
Recently, GSC Game World released a trailer featuring scores and quotes from reviews by Western publications including The Guardian, PC Gamer, IGN, and Game Rant.
