Samsung has officially confirmed that its new Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones have problems with some charging cables. This follows numerous user complaints that charging is too slow or unstable. The South Korean company is already working to resolve the issue.
Shortly after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, complaints about the flagship’s charging behavior began to accumulate on the Samsung community forum and Reddit. Some early adopters reported that the smartphone charged for only a short period of time, after which charging stopped and then started again. This cycle is repeated until the smartphone is fully charged. But such interruptions significantly slow down the entire charging process.
For other users, the problem manifests itself in a very slow charging speed. In fact, the smartphone battery is charged with a power of 5-10 watts, which means that a full charge may take several hours longer than necessary.
Facci sapere!

Now Samsung Italy has officially recognized this problem. A post on social network X says that Samsung is aware of the problem with 5A cables. The company is already working on a solution. The slow charging issue is expected to be resolved in a future software update. However, Samsung did not specify a specific timeframe for the release of this much-needed fix.
USB-C cables that support 5A current are typically advertised with a maximum charging power of 100W or more, while cables that can charge devices up to 60W use current settings of only 3A at 20V. In certain circumstances, switching to a USB-C cable that does not support the fastest USB-C Power Delivery standard can solve this problem. The cable that comes with the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra is apparently not affected by this issue, but some users have experienced similar issues with this cable as well.
It’s worth noting that unstable charging is not the only problem with the new flagships Samsung Galaxy S25 camera spoils good photos.
