The update is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the PlayStation brand, which is celebrated on December 3.
Sony has introduced a new feature for PlayStation 5 users. Gamers can choose one of five system design themes: special for the 30th anniversary of the brand or in the style of previous PlayStation consoles.
The themes change the console’s bootup options, sound effects, background colors, and overall system appearance. Regardless of the option you choose, the basic boot animation will recreate the original PlayStation splash screen.
To activate the theme, go to the PS5 settings, select the «PlayStation 30th Anniversary» section, and then select one of the available options in the «Appearance and Sound» menu: 30th Anniversary, PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation 4.
Sony hasn’t announced when this feature will be available, so interested users should try it out soon.
