At CinemaCon, Sony announced that the fourth Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland will be released under the title «Spider-Man: A Brand New Day» / Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
According to Holland, the film will be a «fresh start» for the franchise after the events of the trilogy, and director Destin Daniel Cretton announced that filming will begin this summer. The premiere date has also been updated, which has been moved by a week — from July 24 to July 31, 2026 (to avoid clashing with premiere «Odyssey» Christopher Nolan).

The new title differs significantly from the first three films, which all had the prefix «house»: «Spider-Man: Homecoming» (2017), «Spider-Man: Far From Home» (2019) and «Spider-Man: No Way Home». The last film ended with Peter Parker accidentally discovering the multiverse and making the difficult decision to erase himself from the world. The details of the fourth film have not been disclosed, but the new title refers to the storyline of 2008, which takes place after the events when everyone forgot who Spider-Man was, as well as the end of his relationship with MJ.
Zendaya (MJ) and Jacob Batalon (Ned) are expected to return in the sequel, although the former will get limited screen time, while among the newcomers, the star of «Stranger Things» Sadie Sink was noted — her role has not been revealed, but it is assumed that the actress will play the mutant «X-Men» Jean Grey, who has been portrayed by Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner in the past.
The trilogy of Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland has earned more than $3.9 billion at the box office, with «Spider-Man accounting for almost half of that: No Way Home».
Finally, Sony also gave an important update on the final installment of the animated trilogy about Miles Morales — first shots and an official date. «Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse» will be released in theaters only in 2027, on June 4.
