Rumors about this have been circulating for some time, and now they have been officially confirmed. PlayStation game The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will be released on PC, developer Naughty Dog has announced. The release is scheduled for April 3, 2025.
«We’re all excited to bring The Last of Us Part 2 to the PC audience, including all the great new features we’ve added to the Remastered version for PS5,» said game director Matthew Gallant.
The PC version was created in collaboration between Naughty Dog and development partners Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios. It will include the same Remastered features that were added for PS5, such as No Return roguelike mode, Lost Levels with developer commentary, Guitar free Play mode, and more. At the same time, it will be «re-optimized and improved for PC» with PC-specific features that will be revealed closer to release.
The PC release will come less than a year after the release of the Remastered version on PlayStation 5, following the launch of the original on PS4 in 2020. The release has reportedly been in the works for some time, but may have been delayed to coincide with the release of The Last of Us Part 2 on HBO, which is also scheduled for the first half of 2025.
