Leading quest designer at CDPR Pavel Sasko has announced seven open job offers for «the next Cyberpunk», which can be found at in the vacancies section. The studio aims to develop «the most realistic and responsive crowd system than in any game to date». In particular, a realistic NPC system, focusing on their interaction and behavior.

In early 2024, CD Projekt Red’s new office began work on the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, which was codenamed Project Orion. Currently, Project Orion is in the early stages of development, and details are scarce.
