Capcom is preparing a new portion of content for Monster Hunter Wilds players – a major update will be released in April.
Title Update 1 will be the first free major update after a very successful release of the game. And it will bring a lot of new challenges, enemies, and hunting opportunities. Another important addition is the Grand Hub.
One of the main innovations will be the return of Mizutsune, the familiar leviathan monster that first appeared in Monster Hunter Generations. His battle will be available to players with Hunter Rank 21. We’ll give you a little hint on how to find him: you will need to visit the Crimson Forest and talk to Kanye.
But that’s not all. A hardened version of Mizutsune will be unlocked for those who reach rank 41. And already at rank 50, players will be able to test their strength in a battle with a hardened version of Rei Dou. In addition, at the same level, a mission will open to fight Jo Shia. For defeating these powerful opponents, players will receive the materials needed to create new high-level equipment.
In addition to the new and old faces, Monster Hunter Wilds will feature other arena quests and challenges. Arena and challenges support up to two players, while free quests have no equipment restrictions and allow four players to play together. But it’s worth noting that they won’t stay with us forever, — they will only be available as time-limited event quests. Completing these missions will not only increase the rank of the hunter, but also give you unique rewards, from special armor to new culinary ingredients.
As for the Grand Hub — it will become a big social place. Hunters will flock there to relax and take part in various activities. Among them — bowling on exploding barrels, for which you can get pendants and other useful items. Players will also have the opportunity to enjoy the traditions of the village of Suja and take part in seasonal events such as the Festival of Accord: Blossom Dance, which starts on April 23. But there will be no access to this city from the first levels. First, you need to reach the 16th hunter rank — for this you need to talk to Tetsuzan in Suji.
In addition to all these innovations, Capcom will be adding new outfits for Alma, as well as classic gestures available as free DLC.
