NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti video cards for sale officially starts on February 20. Some stores have already announced their prices. It seems that it is useless to rely on recommended prices both in the world and in Ukraine.
Two large US retailers, MicroCenter and BestBuy, have confirmed the prices of ASUS, Gigabyte, and MSI graphics cards. As you can see, only the PNY RTX 5070 Ti OC model at MicroCenter costs $750, while the rest are still in vain to find cheaper than $899.
According to VideoCardz, some companies use the tactic of presenting graphics cards as MSRP (suggested retail price) models for reviews and then increasing their price. Thus, relatively inexpensive graphics cards available elsewhere may be «virtual».
As for Ukrainian stores, the vast majority have not yet provided preliminary price offers. Currently, in Ek.ua only three options are available, the cheapest of which is — UAH 78,999. As you can imagine, this is almost 2.5 times higher than the recommended $749. However, we should wait for real sales, which is a problem for this generation of graphics cards.
With at least relatively adequate pricing, the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti can be a good buy for a gamer. According to tests that have already leaked online, it only 13.2% slower than RTX 5080 and 16.6% faster than RTX 4070 Ti. Still, the most likely scenario seems to be price chaos and shortages at the start of sales. And let us remind you that despite the news cover, RTX 5070 Ti will not have an FE version with NVIDIA’s design.
