Volkswagen is resuming production of the ID.4 electric vehicle at its plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and has announced initial prices for the 2025 model. Currently, only versions with an 82 kWh battery are available, and models with a 62 kWh battery «will be available later», although the exact timing is unknown.
The initial configuration of the Volkswagen ID.4 for the 2025 model year is estimated at $45095 for the rear-wheel drive version and $48995 for the all-wheel drive version. For this money, buyers will get a 12.9-inch infotainment system display, a 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster display, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, LED headlights and lights, VW Car-Net service with Plus Nav and Plus Speech packages for free for three years, and alloy wheels (19-inch for the rear-wheel drive and 20-inch for the all-wheel drive version).
The next S trim starts at $50195 for the rear-wheel drive version and $54095 for the all-wheel drive version. It additionally offers:
- illuminated front and rear Volkswagen logos,
- premium projector LED headlights,
- special headlights for bad weather,
- mirrors with the function of setting memory.
The top-of-the-line S Plus trim is available exclusively for the 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 all-wheel drive electric vehicle with a price starting at $57295. In this case, 21-inch wheels, a black contrasting roof with silver accents, electrically folding mirrors with illumination, three-zone Climatronic climate control, a Harman Kardon audio system with 14 speakers and a subwoofer, and a top view camera are available.
No changes in the range or power of the engines have been reported so far. Consequently, we can expect a range of up to 468 km on the EPA cycle for the rear-wheel drive version with an 82 kWh battery.
As a reminder, the Volkswagen ID.4 has become the most popular Chinese car in Ukraine in 2024.
