China bans the terms «autonomous» and «smart» driving in car advertising
China has banned automakers from using the terms «smart» or «autonomous driving» when advertising driver assistance features and is tightening controls on «remote» system updates, according to Reuters.
Tesla Autopilot and Full Self-Driving involved in hundreds of accidents and dozens of fatalities – NHTSA
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigated 956 accidents involving Tesla electric vehicles with Autopilot and Full Self-Driving (FSD) functions. Moreover, the investigation concerned only incidents that occurred between January 2018 and August 2023. In general, there were more accidents.
Tesla to stand trial over Autopilot’s role in fatal 2018 crash
A trial will soon be held in the United States over the accident involving a Tesla car that resulted in death almost 6 years ago. The trial will take place in California on March 18 and will determine whether Tesla and its driver assistance software are to blame for the fatal accident.
