NVIDIA’s ARM-based custom PC platform under development will be available in September 2025. NVIDIA processors with a proprietary GPU are expected in the premium segment.
NVIDIA’s ambitious client PC platform roadmap includes both proprietary products and joint development with MediaTek. it is unofficially known that the platform will be presented in 2025, and the commercial launch will take place in March 2026. It is not clear from the source whether we are talking about two separate platforms, a commercial and a general one, or about the sequential launch of the same one.
Sources in the supply chain suggest that NVIDIA will be in a strong position to enter the client PC market due to its dominance in the AI servers and discrete graphics cards market. The company also has experience with Grace and Tegra processors.
In the new niche, NVIDIA will get competitors from AMD and Intelthat actually constitute the market, as well as Qualcomm with its own ARM chips. NVIDIA, for its part, will be able to offer powerful integrated and discrete graphics.
This is not the first attempt by NVIDIA to do so. In 2011, Microsoft introduced the Windows on ARM (WOA) platform with Windows RT and processors from NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments. However, the first attempt was plagued by design failures of Surface devices and the OS itself. In the end, the company actually suspended the development of Tegra processors.
