Sales of new Chinese cars have increased in Ukraine – most of the sales are electric cars

In October 2024, Ukrainians purchased 1.2 thousand cars imported from China. This is 8% less than in October 2023.

It is worth noting that Ukrainians are gradually abandoning used Chinese cars. Most registrations are for new cars from China – 81% of the total. Accordingly, the share of used Chinese cars is 19%. The number of new Chinese cars purchased by Ukrainians in October amounted to 979 units. This is 11% more than a year ago. At the same time, the volume of used cars purchased from China fell by 47% to 228 units.

It is also worth noting that cars of Chinese origin accounted for 17% of the October new passenger car market. In the segment of used cars that were registered in Ukraine for the first time, the share of cars from China was 1.4%.

The vast majority of passenger cars from China were electric vehicles – 81%.

3. ZEEKR 001 – 94 units;
4. BYD Song Plus – 74 units;
5. AUDI Q4 e-tron – 41 units.

1. ZEEKR 001 – 20 units;
2. HONDA M-NV – 20 units;
3. POLESTAR 2 – 17 units;
4. BAIC EC3 – 15 units;
5. VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 – 14 units.
