In August, Disney released a montage of frames in a short teaser, and now a new full-fledged trailer for “Snow White” has appeared on YouTube and X from third-party accounts.
At the same time, the trailer has been “hanging” online for about 24 hours, and in some posts, it has collected over a hundred thousand views, but it has not yet been deleted.
The new “Snow White” is a rethinking of the original 1937 animated film, which tells the story of young Snow White who fled from the castle to the cottage of seven dwarfs after her stepmother, the Evil Queen, out of jealousy for the beauty of her stepdaughter ordered the Hunter to kill her.
The official first teaser of the “live” adaptation of “Snow White” collected over 1.4 million dislikes on YouTube (although its record was later broken by the Minecraft trailer) and hundreds of scathing remarks about Disney’s way of trying to adapt the classic tale and the choice of actress for the lead role.
Let’s remind that the role of Snow White was taken by Rachel Zegler (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”), and in the role of her stepmother, the Evil Queen, appeared Gal Gadot (“Wonder Woman”). The film was directed by Marc Webb (“The Amazing Spider-Man”), and the script was written by Greta Gerwig (“Barbie”) and Cressida Wilson.
The premiere of “Snow White” is scheduled for March 20, 2025.
