PC Gamer journalist Morgan Park shared a story about the consequences of bad behavior in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. It turns out that being a bad guy in the game is not very fun and has unpleasant consequences.
If Henry, under the player’s guidance, starts to commit lawlessness, he will first receive a rather noticeable stigma. And no, it didn’t add to his popularity among the local girls. Then he was kindly warned: if you continue to be a hooligan, you will end up on the gallows. And, as it turned out, this was not an empty threat.
A video from Niktek has been posted on X showing the fate of the villainous players. The details of the main character’s crimes, Henry, are not disclosed, but it is clearly a case of serious violations: the local guard informs him that he has crossed the line. And Henry, seemingly tired of this cruel world, humbly surrenders.
Then there is a scene in prison, where the protagonist may already be beginning to regret what he has done. But the time for repentance is over, and he is taken out to the crowd, which for some reason is too excited to see the spectacle. To sad music, Henry is led to the scaffold, clenches his fists, closes his eyes, and the local official gives the executioner the order to execute the sentence. And then, in one fell swoop, Henry is already swaying on the gallows. The screen goes dark, and then an inscription appears: «You have been executed for your crimes».
If you commit multiple crimes in Kingdom Come Deliverance II, you will get a full execution cutscene. This is impressive! pic.twitter.com/m5IX7hUQ1J

The death penalty isn’t the best prospect, but it’s worth noting that Warhorse Studios has created a full-fledged alternative ending to Henry’s story – no escape or standard text messages like «He served six months and reformed». This is where the story really ends for good. Although you can download a save, you’ll have to think twice about whether you want to make the same mistakes again.
Such unexpected endings are rare, but not unprecedented. For example, in Far Cry 4, you can complete the game in 15 minutes by simply waiting for Pagan Min to return to the table. This Easter egg was so popular that Ubisoft added similar quick completions in Far Cry 5 and Far Cry 6. Even in Baldur’s Gate 3 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty have an option to end the game early if you follow a certain path.
But what makes the ending in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 special is that it’s fully elaborated by the developers. It’s not just a pass to the ending because of a bug or random knowledge, but a real, plot-completed ending. It’s just not the most pleasant, to put it mildly.
