From January 2025, Xbox users in Ukraine will be able to download the Kyivstar TV app at Microsoft Store.
The platform has also been additionally adapted for use with gamepads.
Currently, Xbox is used by about 200 million people worldwide, and as of December 2024, 49.86% of Ukrainians who use gaming consoles, prefer the Microsoft brand.
“This is an important step, as we strive to make our service accessible on all devices that are important to our users. I am confident that the ability to watch online TV, sports broadcasts, movies, series, and cartoons directly on Xbox will make using our platform even more convenient, and console fans will not need to switch between devices,” — noted Timur Zaidullin, head of development and implementation of the Kyivstar TV product.
Kyivstar TV is the second most popular Ukrainian OTT platform. As of August 2024, the service had 308,150 users in Ukraine. Megogo in this case is still the absolute leader — 703,703 users as of September 2024.
