At CES 2025, LG has demonstrated several new models of thin and light Gram Pro 2-in-1 laptops. The new products offer new Intel Arrow Lake processors and displays with variable refresh rates up to 144 Hz.
Although the variable frequency feature of up to 144 Hz is reserved only for the LCD panel option. For OLED models, you can only get «up to 120 Hz. The device offers a 16-inch screen. There’s also an improved anti-glare coating that was surprisingly effective at mitigating the effects of fluorescent lights overhead in the CES 2025 showroom.
The other major update to the Gram Pro 2-in-1 is the addition of the LG Gram AI suite of artificial intelligence services. These include Gram chat, which is available in both device and cloud-based versions. The former uses LG’s own large-scale language model EXAONE, while the latter uses OpenAI’s GPT-4o. Gram Chat Cloud can also integrate with your calendar and mailboxes to help manage your schedules and «send and receive emails more efficiently», according to LG.
There are also features such as Time Travel, which is LG’s version of Microsoft’s Recall feature that helps users find what they’re looking for by providing parameters such as date viewed or text to the AI system. People will have to give permission before they can continue to use their laptops.
LG has not yet shared details about the price or timing of the new Gram Pro 2-in-1 models. The current versions are available on Amazon for about $1300. We can expect comparable prices from the new products.
