The second DLC for Star Wars Outlaws is coming in May — demo is already available

Star Wars Outlaws will receive the second DLC in May, which will feature a character from «The Clone Wars». In the meantime, you can already try the demo version.

At Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan, the expansion was officially presented, and its name was announced as — Pirate’s Fortune. Ubisoft has announced that in the new story, the main character Kay Wess teams up with the space pirate Hondo Onaka — familiar to fans of the animated series «Star Wars: The Clone Wars». Together, they go searching for a hidden treasure that will have to be obtained in battle. Gamers are offered a prison break, shootouts in dangerous areas, and new space locations.

In the meantime, we have to wait a month for the DLC release — Ubisoft has released a free demo. It is already available on all platforms. The demo is quite generous, as players are given up to three hours of gameplay on the planet Tatooine (saves from the trial version are not transferred to the game). By the way, it is still a mystery how long the DLC will last.

However, only those who have already completed the main story campaign will be able to start the expansion. Also, the DLC is included in the Gold Edition of Outlaws and is available to those who have purchased it earlier. Others will be able to purchase it separately — the price of the previous DLC was $14.99.

The Star Wars Outlaws — A Pirate’s Fortune DLC will be released on May 15, 2025. The game is available on all platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XS, and PC via Steam and Ubisoft Store. Separately, the release of Star Wars Outlaws was confirmed by on Nintendo Switch 2 on the console’s launch day — June 5, 2025. So the second generation console will receive another major port, along with giants like Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077.

A month after the release of Star Wars Outlaws from Ubisoft sold only one million copies around the world that significantly below expectations to developers. Users were impressed by trailers and demonstrations, but then gameplay videos did not evoke the same emotions.
