Equipment and packaging of 2E Gaming G3424B
The box immediately draws attention to itself: both because of its large dimensions and pleasant design, which immediately declares its gaming ambitions. However, it is lighter than it looks. After unpacking, you are greeted by a neatly wrapped monitor, leg, stand, a set of screws, a DisplayPort cable (which is a plus, but a minus for its length), a power supply with a cable, a power consumption label, a warranty card, and a user manual that probably only reviewers read.

The whole structure is assembled quickly and without a screwdriver — just insert the leg into the groove, tighten the lock and you’re done. By the way, the packaging is not bad — the foam does not crumble, as it happens in cheaper models, and the display will feel safe in the mail. But it’s nothing to get excited about — it’s a basic level, and that’s okay.
There’s no HDMI cable included, which is a bit of a disadvantage, because consoles will be sad. And also — there is no decorative film on the bezels or logo, which usually gives a feeling of «novelty». On the other hand, these are trifles.
Підсумок: базовий набір, але з DisplayPort — це вже добре. Мінімум непотрібного, максимум практичного. Без помпезності, але з турботою про користувача.
Design and ergonomics of the 2E Gaming G3424B
The G3424B’s appearance is fully consistent with its intended purpose — a gaming monitor. Minimal bezels on three sides, a moderately curved panel (1500R), and a matte plastic case. No RGB — and that’s even good: the monitor does not interfere with the environment in any interior.

The case is made of matte black plastic that does not collect fingerprints, and the back panel has several embossed elements, but without excessive «gamer». The monitor stand — is quite massive, triangular. It takes up a lot of space on the table, but it is stable — even if a cat runs across the table or someone accidentally pushes the table. And the length of the table should be at least 100+ cm.
The monitor pleasantly surprised me with its ergonomics: it supports not only tilt (from -2.5° to +17°) and swivel from -35°~ to +35°, but also full height adjustment within 120 mm. The adjustment mechanism is quite tight, but it’s reliable — nothing wobbles or sags. For a monitor, such flexibility is the exception rather than the rule, and it definitely comes in handy for everyday use.

VESA mount 100×100 mm allows you to hang the monitor on a bracket. VESA screws, by the way, are included — plus. There is a hole for cable management.
In general, the appearance of the — is neutral, without any design tricks, but functionality comes first.
2E Gaming G3424B interfaces
The G3424B has few ports, but they are enough for most scenarios. We have 2 × HDMI 2.0, 2 × DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5 mm audio output. There is no USB hub — but why would a monitor without a webcam and speakers need one?
Display 2E Gaming G3424B
The 2E G3424B has a 34-inch curved VA panel with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels, 21:9 aspect ratio, and 180Hz refresh rate.
Let’s start with the brightness of up to 300 cd/m², which is enough for a bright room, although it will fade in the sun. The contrast is — 4000:1, typical for VA matrices, and it is really noticeable. Blacks here are almost true black, not «dark gray».
The 2E Gaming G3424B monitor is equipped with an 8-bit matrix (an honest 8-bit panel, not a 6-bit panel with FRC add-on). This is enough for most games and everyday tasks, although it is not enough for professional graphics and accurate color reproduction like HDR. For gaming, this is not a problem, as response time and refresh rate are more important, so an 8-bit matrix is quite acceptable for this monitor.

Viewing angles are good, but not perfect — when tilted slightly, the colors slightly «float», as is always the case with VA. But directly in front of you, the picture looks juicy and clear. Color gamut: sRGB 99%, AdobeRGB 85% — not bad, even for amateur photo processing.
Game features: Adaptive Sync, OverDrive, Low Blue Light (for night gaming sessions), RTS/RPG mode, FPS, etc. Response time — 1 ms. Gaming 180 Hz works, and gives a tangible bonus in fast games. Feelings after 60 Hz — faster, smoother, more comfortable.

Despite the lack of official DisplayHDR certification, 2E Gaming G3424B does have a menu item called «HDR Mode». But don’t rush to break out the champagne — this is a pseudo-HDR, that is, a software simulation of extended dynamic range. In practice, the mode simply adjusts the contrast and brightness, creating a visual effect of «HDR-like», but without actually displaying HDR content. HDR10 — no. DisplayHDR 400 — no.

The pixel density of the 2E Gaming G3424B is about 109 PPI (pixels per inch), which is an excellent indicator for a 3440×1440 monitor with a 34-inch diagonal. Text and interface elements look sharp, with no blurred outlines, and the overall image is detailed.
The OSD menu of the 2E G3424B is classic, but not very easy to navigate. It would be better if there was a five-way controller, which is more convenient than those tiny buttons. Immediately +100 to comfort. It would have been. You get used to the menu quickly — the logic is clear, there is a translation into Ukrainian.

The menu is divided into five main sections: picture modes, color profiles, game settings (including overdrive), sound settings (actually, only the volume for audio output), and system settings. Everything works stably and switches without lag.
There are several presets: FPS, RTS/RPG, MOBA, Movie, Reader, etc. They differ slightly in brightness and contrast, but without any special magic — you have to turn the knobs. It’s good that you can save your own settings.

There is also a Low Blue Light function in the menu to reduce blue radiation for evening gatherings. It works moderately, the image does not turn yellow, and the eyes really get less tired.
Response time can be adjusted in five OverDrive modes: Off, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and UltraSpeed. In the latter mode, overdrive ghosting is slightly noticeable, but at the medium level — perfect balance.
There is also a refresh rate indicator in the menu — a small thing, but nice. And the main thing is that all this is set up quickly, intuitively.
Power consumption of 2E Gaming G3424B
The declared maximum power consumption of the monitor is — 72 W. This is noticeably more than 24-inch office solutions, but for a 34 UWQHD — is well within the normal range.
In standby mode, the minimum consumption is less than 0.5 W, and there is a full-fledged sleep mode.
The monitor does not heat up, even with prolonged use. The back cover remains warm, but not hot.

The external power supply is a classic of the genre. It could be integrated, but then the case would become thicker. This solution has its advantages: if the unit fails, it can be easily replaced.
The power cord is quite long, which is convenient for non-standard socket locations.
Experience using the 2E Gaming G3424B
Use this monitor for everyday tasks — gaming, internet, movies, document work — 34 inches and 21:9 gives you much more space than the standard 27” 16:9, for example. You can conveniently place several windows, an editor and a browser side by side.
Games — pleasure: shooters, simulators, RPGs. But I must say this: yes, the picture is not just «wide», it becomes three-dimensional. Immersion — one level higher. But in cyber disciplines, it’s the other way around. I wanted to return to the more classic 16:9. Because turning your head to the mini-map is tiring. Or turn on the 25” game mode in the — menu with black bars on both sides.

But in single projects, — is definitely a must-have. The post-apocalyptic landscapes of Atomfall or the harsh tactical battles in the new Commandos: Origins will sparkle with new colors.
180 Hz is not just a number. After 60-75 Hz, the eye instantly feels the difference. Movements are smooth, aiming is stable, framerates coincide with the frequency — especially if you have a powerful graphics card.
The monitor is also suitable for working with text or photos, but remember — there is no HDR, and VA loses a little to IPS in color reproduction. For editing or color correction, — is not ideal. But it’s definitely enough for regular Photoshop or Canva.
Eyes don’t get tired — even after three hours of gaming or video editing. Flicker-Free and Low Blue Light really work. And for this, another respect.
Price and competitors of 2E Gaming G3424B
At the time of writing this review monitor costs between UAH 12,999 and 13,299, depending on the store. And it has competitors in this price segment.
Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor G34WQi. VA-matrix with a resolution of 3440×1440, 1500R curvature and 180 Hz refresh rate. However, it is inferior in ergonomics — there is only a tilt adjustment. Users often note a pronounced glow effect and glare around the edges.
ASUS TUF Gaming VG34VQ3B. It has support for DisplayHDR 400, good factory calibration and a refresh rate of 180 Hz. Supports adaptive synchronization (FreeSync/Adaptive Sync). At the same time, the ergonomics are limited — only tilt adjustment.
Gigabyte G34WQCP. It offers a VA matrix with 8-bit + FRC (i.e. support for 1.07 billion colors), DisplayHDR 400 and 90% DCI-P3 color gamut. The refresh rate — 180 Hz, and ergonomics are limited to tilt and height adjustment.
MSI MAG 345CQR. It offers a 10-bit VA matrix (8-bit + FRC), 180 Hz frequency and 1000R curvature. It has an aggressive gaming design, brightness up to 300 nits, but is not certified for DisplayHDR. Contrast is slightly lower than that of the 2E G3424B. The advantage is a three-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Philips Evnia 34M2C5501A. DisplayHDR 400, support for 1.07 billion colors, brightness up to 400 nits, 95% DCI-P3 and 91% Adobe RGB coverage. It has height and tilt adjustment and Ambiglow branded backlighting.
