On weekends online deferral from mobilization has been launched in the application «Reserve+». People with disabilities, as well as students, postgraduates and doctoral students who are studying in a sequential order, were the first to apply for a deferment without visiting the TCC. The Ministry of Defense shared the statistics of the new service for the first days.
According to Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization, about 40 thousand Ukrainians have already applied for an online deferment in the «Reserve+» mobile application in the first two days of the service’s operation. The number of people liable for military service who have applied for a deferment online is measured in tens of thousands. Due to the high popularity of the service and the sharp increase in the number of requests, electronic systems could be delayed.
«In the first few hours, we saw a huge demand for online deferral. About 10,000 people made this request. Now there is a certain load on the «Oberih» register. Let me remind you that the deferment is granted from our Unified State Register of Persons Liable for Military Service. We do not store the data of our» users,” said Kateryna Chernogorenko.
She also assured that all deferrals will be granted to applicants who are eligible for a deferral.
It is worth noting that previously, all these 40,000 people liable for military service had to visit the CCC in person on November 10 and apply for a deferment (or send documents by mail), and then wait several weeks for the deferment to be issued and stand in line again to receive a certificate. Now the whole procedure takes a few hours. It is likely that the speed of processing requests will increase after the rush decreases.
