Apple is preparing to release new Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard — probably with USB-C instead of Lightning

Release dates are unknown, but Apple could potentially release new versions of the accessories along with the announcement of laptops with M4, which will take place in the coming days.

Information about Magic Mouse 2, Magic Trackpad 2, and Magic Keyboard was found in the iOS 18.1 code. There are likely to be several keyboards — versions with Touch ID and number pads, as well as without them.

Despite the fact that iOS 18.1 does not contain information about what to expect from these devices, MacRumors suggests that Apple will replace Lightning with USB-C in accessories, and will finally change the location of the port on the Magic Mouse (it was strangely located at the bottom of the device).

We expect that Apple won’t delay the release of the new Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard for long and will present them along with the new MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac with M4 — rumored to happen in October, possibly any day now.
