At the end of last week, the Ministry of Defense announced launching a beta test of the automatic deferment function in the «Reserve+» app for certain categories of persons liable for military service. At the same time, the developers invited interested users to join the test. And now, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko saidthat the beta test of online deferrals from mobilization in «Reserve+» has already begun.
Kateryna Chernogorenko emphasized that the first to receive instructions on how to use the new feature will be students and postgraduates who have filled out an application for testing. Later on, people with disabilities and citizens with many children will be able to join them. The Deputy Defense Minister clarified that the instructions will be sent by email.
Additionally, Kateryna Chernogorenko noted that the deferral can be extended only after its expiration date. Two active deferrals are not allowed at the same time.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense plans to launch in November the function of automatic receipt of a deferment from mobilization in «Reserve+» without visiting the CMC. It is intended for parents with many children, people with disabilities, as well as students and postgraduates.
As a result, persons liable for military service who are eligible for a deferment will no longer need to visit the CMC with documents and stand in line to receive or extend the deferment. It will be enough to submit a request in the application «Reserve+». The current deferrals are mostly valid until the end of the current martial law – until November 9. From November 10, they will lose their relevance, so they will need to be extended.
