Recent surveys indicate that interest in Black Friday discounts is declining year by year.
This year’s Rakuten Viber survey showed that 64% of Ukrainians do not believe in discounts (the same as last year), while the number of those who will not buy anything on Black Friday has increased to 83% (last year 66%) and only 4% of respondents plan to shop even more actively than last year.
Among the categories that Ukrainians plan to pay more attention to during shopping are clothing and footwear — 34%, as well as food and alcohol — 13%.
12% of surveyed citizens plan to buy gadgets, and only 9% — home appliances. Also, 9% in children’s goods and cosmetics and vitamins.
6% of respondents plan to purchase goods for pets, 5% — goods for the home and repairs, and 2% — automotive products. Another 1% plans to spend money on purchasing subscriptions or memberships at a discount.
It is noted that 30,000 users of the Viber application participated in the survey (unfortunately, the press release did not provide a distribution by age, regions, etc.).
